Abstract

The purpose of teaching is the realization of the human being, because the objective of education is to guide the student to assume its own meaning of life. To reach an ethical personality it is necessary to obtain proper contents, for the development of a moral and autonomous conscience.

The professional ethic studies the obligations of any profession. Ethic gives general criteria considering proper and specific dilemmas, which needs a particular formation. Teaching ethics in nursing has been much more practical and better oriented to correspond to the great changes generated by health care. Several studies have revealed the need to teach specific contents of ethics in nursing, different from the contents of other professions.
