Health care practices, related with disease, have been present through human history.
This article relates the practices of some of the main indigenous tribes who lived in the Colombian territory at the arrival of the Spanish.
These tribes, represented by “Chibcha” and Caribbean culture, had advanced medical knowledge, and in their communities the figure of the “chamanes”, witches, fortuneteller, were relevant.
